Every day parasites are trying to invade your body, but your body won’t just let it happen so it has defenses against these parasites.

Blood stream cells Classes

Red blood cells are like a raft in a river that carry important things to different places. For example, they carry oxygen to the lungs, muscles and brain. They also move carbon dioxide away.

White blood cells AKA lymphocytes and leukocytes are like soldiers protecting the organism from enemies and parasites like a military protecting its country.

Platelets are the reason your scrapes scab over so your blood doesn’t drain out your body by having a reaction to oxygen and making them puff up. So you probably understand that they try very hard to stay away from red blood cells.

This was only a intro to our defenses and soon I will have a new post about white blood cells.
